Janette, mum of three

....Marie was a fantastic story teller and took my Year 6 children on a brilliant journey of strong women through over the centuries. Each painting came alive as she told us the back story to the subject, the artist and the historical context. Entertaining and knowledgable - the kids were hanging on her every word for 90 minutes, and so was I. I’m not sure they will ever do an art gallery again unless Marie is with us!

Coming early 2026
Jane Austen's London
Jane Austen is associated with balls, scheming mothers, a parade of suitors and girls who needed to marry. But also
a time of turbulence, revolution and war.

This tour will take you through the streets she walked, introduce you to the people who shaped the exciting Regency times she lived though and chronicalled.
She lived during revolutionary times. She had family who were killed by the guilotine...the handsome soldiers who flirted in Pride and Prejudice were off to fight bloody wars against the French....the Covent Garden she would walk around was populated by great actors, but also scoundrels and prostitutes.

The man ruling the country was the Prince Regent - a man of great appetites - from women, to beautiful art, and who created the beautiful terraces and circles that dominate Westminster.

The tea she so carefully stored and poured became England's favourite drink care of the East India Company - the trading company wreaking war, havoc and trading in addiction as well as tea.

You will be able to admire the beautiful terraces and crescents, meet the big characters and enjoy the shops and landmarks she would have visited on her many visits to London.
And as a special treat there will be an optional extra to have a delicious tea at Fortnum and Mason on Piccadilly.

COMING UP ......
Walk with Royalty
Coming soon......
Hear about the scandals, loves and brutal lives of the Royals who have lived in Westminster for hundreds of years. See the grand historic buildings where they were born, married and died – with much plotting and scheming in between. From child brides to beheadings, this area tells the story of how the British Monarchy has been ruthlessly transformed from absolute rulers, to the constitutional Royals we have today.
